The Children's Ministry at Maple View is designed to partner with parents as they bring their children to the saving knowledge of God and His love.  We work towards this goal by creating a fun and challenging place to learn about God and His Biblical truths that they can live out in their daily lives.  We desire our children's programs to be a place where kids are eager to participate and eager to learn more about Jesus so that they can be lead into a personal relationship with HIM.

To reach our goals in Children's Ministry, the curriculum chosen throughout the ministry is DiscipleLand.  DiscipleLand partners with us as we equip kids to reach their peak potential as Jesus' disciples - children who know God intimately, who love Him passionately, and who serve Him selflessly.  This curriculum introduces children to more of God's Word and the character traits that God wants to see in their lives. www.discipleland.com

Classes offered each week

Nursery 9:15 - 11:45: Every Sunday morning, ministering to families by caring for their young, birth to 36 months.  Parents will find the nursery a safe and caring place for their young children to be while they attend Sunday School and the Worship service.

Sunday School 9:15 – 10:15 (Sept-May):  Using DiscipleLand curriculum, this hour long class uses various activities, puppets and Bible curriculum that helps transform children into dynamic disciples of Jesus Christ—children who know God intimately, who love Him passionately, and who serve Him selflessly.

(ages 3-Pre-K) - Your little ones will enjoy 200 Bible stories over 16 quarters—a new story each week!  Pre-school consists of two sequences - The Old Testament Sequence introduces pre-school kids to God's greatness and plan. The New Testament Sequence guides them to become Jesus' friends.    

 

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade - Discovering God's Greatness: Your children ages 6-8 will acknowledge God—as Lord of heaven and earth. Kids will experience God's view of family, work, worship, and community. Join a Bible-times family and discover what living in God's world was like 2000 years ago! 

 

 

Grades 3 - 5 - Serving the King:  Your children ages 8-10 will affirm Jesus Christ—as personal Savior and Lord over all. Kids will explore every event in the Gospels: Jesus' messages, miracles, passion, and triumphant resurrection. Travel in the Holy Land alongside the Man who changed the course of human history! Immerse your children in the Gospels. Provide a complete overview of Jesus' life and ministry on earth, so your kids will desire to follow Him in all the years to come.

 

 

Children’s Church 10:25 – 11:45: All children are welcome in the sanctuary with their parents/guardians throughout the entire worship service.  However, we do offer the following DiscipleLand opportunities for children ages 3 years through 3rd grade.  Children attending DiscipleLand may leave the sanctuary following the morning Praise & Worship for age appropriate learning.  Children’s Church registration is located downstairs in the fellowship hall.  For those children desiring to remain with their parents, we offer  Quiet Time Worship Kits located in the “Kid's Corner” at the back of the sanctuary.  If needed, quiet time activities are available for children that remain in the service with their parents/guardians.  Available for use are crayons, coloring pictures, and other various quiet activities for children during the service.  Please return all supplies to the “quiet room” following the service.  

  

Growing in God: Specifically designed for pre-school children, this program givechildren the opportunity to expand on what they learned in the first hour of DiscipleLand.  Children will enjoy more activities, more Bible learning and a visit by the DicipleLand puppets - Dee, Cy, Paul & Chip.  Children are to be picked up in their classroom unless previous authorization from parents/guardians.  Ages: 3 thru Pre-K

 

  

God Squad: Meeting the first 3 Sundays of every month, for students in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade, this program has age appropriate worship, activities and Bible learning through DISCIPLETOWN.  DiscipleTown was created to make disciples. It is based on a children's discipleship system that features sequential learning and helps kids reach their full potential as disciples of Jesus Christ. DiscipleTown will help your children become dynamic disciples who:
       

        Develop a reservoir of KNOWLEDGE based on a Biblical worldview.

        Display Christlike CHARACTER in every area of life.

        Demonstrate faithful CONDUCT that honors God and helps people.

 

 God Squad meets in the classroom off the Fellowship Hall downstairs.

 

Children’s DiscipleLand Store (Sept - May):  First Sunday of every month, the DiscipleLand Store is available following the worship service.  Throughout the DiscipleLand classes, the children work hard learning to be a disciple of Jesus.  To reward them for their hard work, they earn DiscipleLand Dollars each week that they can spend in the DiscipleLand Store.  Some of the things that earn them DiscipleLand Dollars are saying their Bible verse, attending class, bringing their Bible etc. - they can get a complete list from their teachers.  Ages: K – 5th grade.
